The Burlington Slam Project sends representatives to several different MAJOR competitions in the calendar year. Primary events are:
National Poetry Slam (NPS) – August
The Burlington Slam Project sends its National competitive team to the National Poetry Slam each year.
From September-February, points will be given to competing poets towards our finals in March.
To qualify for this opportunity – a poet MUST have slammed at least TWICE in our competitive season (Sept-March)

Women of the World Poetry Slam (WOWps) – March Annual
From 2016 on – BSP will be sending a female-identifying representative to compete at the Women of the World Poetry Slam.
Our November Slam will be giving priority to female-identifying poets, the top-ranking of whom will be selected as our WOWps representative.
To qualify for this opportunity – a poet MUST have slammed at least ONCE in our competitive season (September or October).
